Of everything we've done this year, the blogs have always been one of my favorite things to grade. I love to see what you think when you don't have to worry about saying it out loud in class. Oh, the freedom anonymity brings! Your online responses have allowed me to see your dreams, plans, values--your THOUGHTS--and it has been amazing. You all are a bunch of talented, creative, intelligent, and introspective people; and I hope you continue to write--for yourselves--for many years to come.
So, for one last online journal entry, I want you to tell me something you have enjoyed in this class this year. Something we read that stands out in your memory or an activity you enjoyed (something educative, not "that one time you and your friend ..."). Of course, you have the option to say "you've enjoyed nothing," but know that that is equal to the amount of points you will receive for it as well!. I have enjoyed this year--and getting to know you all--more than you know. Thank you for being the wonderful, insightful people you are. Have an awesome summer and an Incredible Junior Year!!

Well I don't really have a favorite thing specifically but I did enjoy learning with all my friends in 2nd hour and im going to miss this class. Mrs. Snow your an awesome teacher im so glad I had you this year, you made English quite entertaining for me. Anywho thanks for the awesome year. Oh and who needs anonymity, my names Kasey Flynn.
ReplyDeleteahhhhhh the years came to an end and i would have to say that ive enjoyed everythin' my least favorite part was the "cowbell" *shiver*. my favorite part was midsummers night and the movie will be a favorite to.
ReplyDeleteOMG I LOVE THIS BLOG! OK!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing that happened this year in YOUR class is not just ONE thing, its MULTIPLE things! Like when you taught Beau discipline with his hat, how you would get UBER excited for the most simplest and smallest things just to annoy Austin and the other loud people in our 2nd hr class. Everytime someone would shoot you a crude or just random remark you ALWAYS had something to come back with it, I loved how you would always let us turn our assignments in but if they weren't finished you would shove em back in our faces cause you just want us to succeed. You DIDN'T just image that, YES I actually used the "s" word. I remember every-time I would write " Fail " or " Failure " on my papers you would tear it to bits, although one of the failures you kept, I have it now though XD I loved that failure so I took it back ;) Keep up the great work, and just saying O_O I hope you can put up with next years freshman, I remember them when they rode my bus or would come to the jr high XP they is evil little critters. Your a great teacher and I hope you enjoy your future years teaching! HAPPY SUMMER!
Thanks Kasey and Axelblast.
ReplyDeleteAnd FennecFox, you just made my whole year worth it! You are going to be a great SUCCESS at whatever you put your mind to in life, I know it! :`)
And finally, Djace and BigBob, sorry, but you are actually going to have to pick one thing you actually enjoyed: reading, activity, whatev. Just pick something. No sarcasm, BigBob; that is, if you want a grade for this. Don't worry; I have confidence you CAN do it IF you try! ;)
I have to agree with kasey. No real part about this year stuck out. I enjoyed codys blow up and austin being gone, but otherwise I liked the year as a whole for the most part. I would hope everyone else feels the same about your class as I do/did this year
ReplyDeleteI like Fennel Fox's comment and I agree. I like the way you teach and your unique way of dealing with things. I like how you manage to keep the attention of the class, and how you can make us slightly afraid to doze off. Out of the things we did I think I liked looking at the different types of writing the most... creative writing is kinda my thing in English. And hey, I loved u so much that I'm comming back next year to A+ you
ReplyDeleteWell I think that I enjoyed the thing were we were all in a circle and had one by one people standing up and getting in the circle amd acting something out. I like it because we got to know the real personality of people in this class all though they got nervous we all still did a good job. I had a great year with you and I hope to see you next year!!!
ReplyDeletethis year I have enjoyed having you(Mrs. Snow) as my teacher because I got to have you first hour meant your hyperness and happiness got to rub off a little on me. Which made my day go by a little bit faster :)
ReplyDeleteI loved reading To Kill A Mockingbird. That book was ballin'. Admittedly I have read it before but when reading it again I noticed many things I didn't before. That was my only favorite things. Everything else was bad.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed you being extremely loud in the morning Mrs. Snow. I am very hyper in the morning and it's always cool to see someone the same way. I remember at the beginning of the year I thought you were crazy and now i think you are pretty down to Earth and chill. Your voice used to pierce my ear lobes, and now i can tolerate so much high pitch noise its ridiculous! Love Houston, thanks for a great year ;)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the over all chillness of this classroom you are one of my all time favorite teachers. i have had the best year of english ive ever had. Thanks Mrs.Snow :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing this year, is meeting new people in this class. Even though second hour has been very abnoxious, I still love seeing what excitement there is everyday. Another thing I loved about this class is that there was not very homework assignments. It's nice to get all of our work done in class, so we don't forget about it, or have to have an excuse of why we don't have what we were assigned.
ReplyDeletei like thisa clss because i cant fall asleep and we dont have that much hw. Iv lean alot this year and i dont have to worry about my grade and im happy that i dont have to take finals. I hope you will have fun with the fresmen next year they are very anoying and im sorry that you willl have then next year .jk have a great summer and a wonderful week til it lest
ReplyDeleteI would have to say our class was pretty annoying and aggrivating.. Not by you but by the people in it. I feel like maybe more things would have been done and it would have been better if it wasn't so loud and fighting all the time. But I liked a lot I like how you are enusastic and makes everyone awake but also understanding. This year was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say out of everything we did this year I really enjoyed the greek mythology. I always like hearing the legends from old n' days and I will always love them. Thanks for all the wonderful time and patience with your classes
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing we did was learning about Greek Mythology. I found it interesting and fun. I also liked reading To Kill A MockingBird. I hope that my English class next year is as fun as this years.
ReplyDeletethis year i enojyed all of the laughing.. sounds corny but, i think this class would be really boring. english isn't my favorite subject so laughing everyday makes it alot better. the actual thing that we did that i liked was the biaghraphy. i personally did myn over harrison ford and i thought it was really cool. ive had fun this year mrs. snow thanks for being my teacher
ReplyDeleteWhat really stood out to me was when we read the Oedipus plays. The story was so twisted and confusing it was great! That chart you made with the family to show who was son and daughter of who was quite funny. Also your up beat, peppy attitude woke me up every morning. Thanks Mrs. Snow for a great year (:
ReplyDeleteI really had a great year overall. There wasn't really a favorite moment. Thank you Mrs. Snow for the great 1st hour. I had a lot of fun. Also thanks for never counting me tardy :)
ReplyDeleteI hate English Class. Just getting that out there. I like my English teachers, but not the subject.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of this class this year has been reading some of the comments on the blogs. ie FennocFox above.
