Did you enjoy your impromptu Winter Break?! Have you been out in the snow? Write a journal entry describing the best Snow Day you've ever spent? My wild ones spent a great morning outside playing, having snowball fights, and making snow angels. I stayed out long enough to take some pictures, then came in and made some hot chocolate!! How about you?
Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. John Ruskin
my snow day's a action packed. when i get up and see snow on the ground i know it's going to be a good day. this years snow day was awsome not only did i get to play baseball in the freezing cold but i went snowboarding with the team afterward. first we went to springfeild to play baseball since i am on a team that practices off season. my team won with a score of 4 to 2. then coach took us snowboarding.
ReplyDeletei havent been in the snow sadly... i think my wildest was when i fell asleep in the snow. frost bite all over my body
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that the best snow day that I have ever had is when I was in second grade and my neighbor and I spent the whole day making all difrent types of snowmen.
ReplyDeleteAfter playing in the snow all day we went back into my house and my mom made my friend and I hot chocolate.
when i lived in maine when we did have a snow day it was spent inside or outside shoveling or up at the high school sleding
ReplyDeleteWell i cant really ever remembering having a very fun snow day, its never really snowed enough for anythign too interesting while school was in session. i think the only one i really ever had was when i was like 7 and i pushed my brother down the hill and he got snow in his pants. the latest interaction with snow however was this weeked. After all the snow had melted down here, i had to help my brother move. In St. Joe theres still about a foot of snow and while moving in all the junk he owns we kept throwing it at eachother. My mom even got into it and nailed both of us in the face. Nothing like a snowball fight at midnight and not being able to feel your toes because theyve dern near froze off. lol
ReplyDeleteI always love my snow days. I wake up to a cup of coffee and stare at the outside. It's pretty, like a picture. After that I get in layers and layers of clothes. I need to stay warm as I go four wheeling in the snow. After Im done i go back inside to my moms home made chicken soup. Thats why i love snow days.
ReplyDeleteMy best snow day was probably a few years ago. I went over to a friend's house and he has this really big hill and we were sledding and playing in the snow all day long. We built up little 'bases' and we had a huge snowball fight with about 20 people. I'm still really young but it seems as I get older the only thing I like about snow days anymore is the part where I don't come to school.
ReplyDeleteEvery snow day is a good day I believe. My best snow day is when I was kid and me and my friend Tyler were sledding down a hill and I flew off the road and hit a tree branch. Busted my lip open and all. Didn't feel great but made a great story.
ReplyDeleteim not really a big fan of the snow. i dont like the cold so i hibernated the whole time. fun fun fun!
ReplyDeletei think it was a fun snow break bec me and my friend went out four-wheeling on the ice
ReplyDeleteI love snow! I also enjoyed our break too. Mr. Gowers is funny! He says: "Don't eat the yellow snow!" If you are in his class you will know what i'm talking about!
ReplyDeleteUsually when we have snow days I stay home and sleep. So I don't have very many memorable moments in the snow. So I'll just say that the most fun I've ever had in the snow is when I went to Wisconsin to the Wis Dells to go snowboarding. Good times...
ReplyDeleteThis break I haven't been outside in the snow, sadly. I dont like to be outside to much in the cold. I am more of a hot weathered person. The funniest time that I have probably had though was one time my father and I got on our fourwheeler and did ton of donuts in the snow. It was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteMy best snow day would probably be when I was with a bunch of neighbors and then we all had a bunch of fun. I remember though it was also bad cause I ended up falling face first trying to slop my friend at the bottom of a hill and I have a scar on my chin.
ReplyDeleteMy best snow day was when were out for a whole week and all throught that time I sat around the house for the most part and drank hot coco, was very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteMy best snow day was when my brother and I had a snowball fight. We also went sledding on a steep hill. We were outside for a long time. Then we went inside and took a nap.
ReplyDeleteWell I have had good snow days and bad snow days. My best snow day ever probably came when I lived in Arkansas and school got out early, like at 11:00. I went over to my friend Bens house and we played Dragon Ball Z video game. Then we went to the hill behind our houses and sleded for a while. One time i fell off my sled but it kept going and went into this creek down the hill. I had to go get one of my dads golf clubs and fished out my sled. Later we make this giant snowball rolling down the hill and flung it into the creek. Then I came back in and had Hot Cocoa.
ReplyDeletei dont lie to be cold. so i wasn't outside a lot unless i had to be. but we did make snow ice cream :). we also played a game called skip-bo and i got barely any sleep lol
ReplyDeleteMy best snow day was when my brother, sister, some friends, and my dogs all went sledding. It was pretty fun because i got to spend a lot of time with my family. Thats why I like snow days. I think they could get a family closer.
ReplyDeleteThe best now day i have ever had started by waking up lie at noon eating a big breakfast and then playing in the snow. snow ball fights and such.
ReplyDeleteThe best snow day I ever had was when i was young and it snowed in texas, well iced XD and my dad and brother came up with the idea to go all awesome and drive the lawn mower around the house as my brother was being dragged behind on a piece of slick metal ^^ mom freaked out and amber ( my sister ) had fun driving my brother around sharp corners.
ReplyDeletei like snow but i get tiered of not having school for a long time and i have to learn or i dont feel like doing anything when we get back

ReplyDeleteThe best snow day I ever had was when I was seven years old. I was so excited to get out in the snow I forgot there were stairs on our backporch and I fell down the stairs! I was in sooo many jackets and pants I didn't feel a thing! My brothers and I spent the rest of the day sliding on our backs down the stairs outside :)
ReplyDeleteI dont have any body around my house to have a snowball fight with, so that's out. i just stay inside during snowdays because the way i enjoy the snow is the way it dampens the sound of the world and the pristine glow that it lends to the landscape.
ReplyDeleteThe best snow day I have ever had was 2 years ago, my whole family went outside to play in the snow. We had a snow fight and made the biggest snow man i have ever seen. It was so fun!
ReplyDeleteI like snow if we dont have alot and we can still do stuff outside even if we dont have anything to do that day and i always clean the drive way while my little brother puts salt down than we go inside the house and watch a movie and drink apple cider or hot chacleat.
ReplyDeletethe best snow day i ever had was in arkansas it snowed for 3 weeks and we where out of school for a month and a sat around the house all day or throwing snow at my sister
ReplyDeleteThe snow days this year were long and boring. I didn't get to play outside or leave the house. All i did was play PS3 and eat. haha The best was about 3 years ago when i got to go out and pla in the snow all day. There was a steep road full of snow that had been closed that we rode down and after the first 2 tries i went too fast and flew into the woods.
ReplyDeletei love snow days, mostly because we get out of school. my favorite sno day was when i was 13 and i went snow boarding down this giant hill, walking up the hill wasnt as fun as going down it though
ReplyDeleteI had so much fun in the snow. I moved up here from texas. I have seen snow actually about twice, not including the snow the past couple of days.I went sledding for the very first time. Its great. Its like a dream come true. i have always wanted to go and flopp down in the snow and just relax. I also had my second snowball fight of my life......My sister won haha, but anyways it was great and i cant wait for more snow to come
ReplyDeleteWEl the best snow i ever spent was when i woke up at 10! TEN!!!! oh yes...then i got to build a like 7 ft snowman with my sister then for like the rest of the day all it was, was videogames and hot coco....oh the life lolll i recomend this more often lol
ReplyDeletemy best snow day was at my aunts house in seattle, there was +12 in. and my entire family was there. We had my aunts hot chocolate, and we played hide and seek in the snow which was fun because you could hide IN the snow. I hid in the snow and wasnt seen, they aally thought i ran away. later we sled down this huge hill near their house, which led to some pretty wicked crashes, but nonetheless worth it. We settled down and played LIFE which is nuce because for some reason i own at LIFE (no pun intended)
ReplyDeleteMaybe there was no pun INTENDED ????, but it still cracked me up!! ;)
ReplyDeleteHmm my favorite snow day was in California i was visiting my dad and we were at a cabin and a blizzard came through next morning had like 10 inches of powder we went snowboarding. When we were at the cabin me and my brother would slide down this steep hill they had that had trees and a huge tree stump. Well on the last day at the cabin in the morning we woke up and went outside and the snow by then had melted a bit then froze over night and was like ice now. So my brother wouldn't go down the hill so i did. It wasnt a good idea. When i went down the hill i couldnt stop and i tried dodging a tree which i did but then i hit the side of the big stump and i flew into the side of the cabin and rolled the rest of the way down. It was pretty fun didnt get any serious injury's just had a cut on my hand.
ReplyDeleteMy dad comes into the room saying sorry buddy but the snow never came then to my surprise when i steped outside to go to the bus there was snow everywhere and we played for hours sleding and having snowball fights.
ReplyDeleteI was in the snow the whole time! I love winter and i love the snow. My brother and i made huge snow dome. I had lots of fun.
ReplyDeletemy best snow day was when the snow plows went through the street and made the already 2 foot deep snow on the side of the road 4 feet deep. my friends and i pilled more snow on top and made snow forts on both sides of the road and had snow ball fights.
ReplyDeleteMy snow days were pretty good i spent most of it with my boyfriend, And my family and my friend. Me and my boyfriend and my friend whent on the four wheller and my boyfriend was driving and me and my friend was on the sleed and we hit a cow pattie and she flew off and i stayed on but my foot got cought around the rop that was attached to the four wheller, so i was being draged on the grounded by the rop and i hit my head alot. But it was fun. And then i whent and tryed to get on the pound and i got on the ice and it almost broke then we had a snow ball fight. HAH best time EVER :)
ReplyDeleteSnow Days I dont do much. with my bad knee if i fall i could possibly need surgery again. So for now no snow for me.
